Includes Energy, Fire and Resilience-Focused Grants
Recent Work
The end of March marked the close of the Department of Energy RECI 2023 application cycle. The International Code Council was a partner on 12 applications, working with non-profits, state agencies and private sector companies across the country seeking to improve resilience and efficiency through energy code adoption, implementation and enforcement. Awards should be negotiated in June 2023.
If you are interested in applying for funds through this program in the 2024 cycle, it’s not too early to get connected and explore project ideas.

“The International Code Council staff were very helpful and responsive to the needs of the Colorado Energy Office (CEO) through the RECI application process.
The International Code Council provided us more insight and understanding into the training and technical assistance offerings that they provide for the energy codes and helped us identify how we could incorporate those resources into our plans for workforce development, training and certification of Colorado's building department staff and building industry.
They also helped us identify some areas for innovation in the code enforcement process, including through remote and virtual inspection tools.”
